How it works
The image is redrawn at its original dimensions and saved in the format you choose. The quality slider, from 10 to 100, applies to JPG and WebP; PNG is always lossless and ignores it. The new file size is shown before you download.

JPG cannot store transparency, so transparent areas turn black when you convert a PNG or WebP to JPG. Camera metadata such as location and date is not carried into the new file, and an animated image is converted as a single still frame.
