About ToolOrbit

Free, privacy-first online tools — built by an engineer who was tired of upload-your-file-first websites.

What ToolOrbit is

ToolOrbit is a collection of 101+ free online tools for developers, writers, marketers, students and anyone who just needs to get a small job done: format JSON, compress an image, merge PDFs, calculate a loan payment, generate a QR code — without installing software or creating an account.

Different by architecture, not by promise

Most online tools upload your file to a server, process it there, and hold a copy you can't see. ToolOrbit works the opposite way: every tool runs locally in your browser using modern web APIs. Your text, images, PDFs and numbers are processed on your own device and never transmitted to us.

You don't have to take that on faith — open your browser's developer tools (F12 → Network tab) while using any tool and you'll see that no data leaves your machine.

Why it's free

  • No servers to pay for. Because processing happens in your browser, our costs stay tiny — so the tools can stay free.
  • No accounts, no lock-in. There is nothing to subscribe to and nothing to cancel.
  • Honest labelling. Where a tool is rule-based rather than AI-powered, we say so plainly.

Who builds it

ToolOrbit is built and maintained by Awais, a software engineer, as part of OrbitTechLab — a small independent lab building useful web products. New tools ship regularly, and feedback directly shapes the roadmap.

What's next

The registry-driven platform behind ToolOrbit is designed to scale to hundreds of tools. Upcoming focus areas: deeper PDF and image utilities, more converters and calculators, and genuinely client-side AI tools that keep the same promise — your data stays yours.
