How it works
Drag a box over the part you want to keep. Large images are shown scaled down to fit the page, but the crop is cut from the original pixels, so the result is at full resolution. The size of your selection, in real pixels, is shown under the image.
The crop is saved as a PNG, which is lossless: the kept pixels are not recompressed. The price is file size, since a cropped photo saved as PNG can be larger than the JPG it came from. Run it through the Image Format Converter afterwards if you need a small JPG or WebP.
The selection is freehand. There is no fixed aspect ratio and no way to type exact dimensions, so for a precise size, crop slightly larger and then resize.
