How it works
The number is split into groups of three digits, each group is spelled out, and the scale word (thousand, million, billion and so on) is added after it. Commas in the input are ignored.

The style is American: there is no “and” after “hundred”, so 105 is “one hundred five”. Digits after the decimal point are read one at a time. Whole numbers up to 21 digits, the quintillions, are supported. Currency wording such as “dollars and cents” is not added, so write that part yourself on a cheque.
