Average (Mean/Median/Mode)
Paste a list of numbers separated by commas, spaces or newlines and instantly get the mean, median, mode, range, sum, count, minimum and maximum. Handles decimals and repeated values, with the mode showing all most-frequent numbers. All calculation happens in your browser.
Examples
12, 8, 15, 8, 23
Mean 13.2, Median 12, Mode 8
How it works
Paste numbers separated by commas, spaces or line breaks. The tool returns the three kinds of average and the figures around them.
| Measure | How | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Mean | 66 ÷ 5 | 13.2 |
| Median | Middle of 8, 8, 12, 15, 23 | 12 |
| Mode | Most frequent value | 8 |
| Range | 23 − 8 | 15 |
With an even count, the median is the average of the two middle values. If several values tie for most frequent, all of them are listed as the mode; if nothing repeats, the mode is “None”. Entries that are not numbers are skipped without a warning, so check that the Count matches what you pasted.
