How it works
Age is counted the way people say it: completed years first, then completed months, then the days left over. When the day of the month has not been reached yet, the days are borrowed from the length of the previous month.
- Total days is the number of calendar days between the two dates.
- Total weeks is total days ÷ 7, rounded down.
- Total hours is total days × 24; the time of day you were born is not taken into account.
Change “Age at date” to find an age on any past or future date, such as the day of an exam or a retirement date. A birthday on 29 February is counted on 1 March in years that are not leap years.
