XML Sitemap Generator
Paste your URLs one per line and instantly generate a standards-compliant XML sitemap with loc, lastmod and changefreq entries. Blank lines are skipped, whitespace is trimmed, and special characters are XML-escaped. Choose a change frequency, then copy the output or download it as sitemap.xml. Fully client-side.
Examples
https://example.com/ and https://example.com/about
A urlset with two url blocks, each containing loc, today's lastmod and changefreq weekly.
How it works
Each line you paste becomes one url entry with three tags: loc (the address, XML-escaped), lastmod and changefreq. Blank lines are skipped and spaces around an address are trimmed.
<url> <loc>https://example.com/about</loc> <lastmod>2026-10-01</lastmod> <changefreq>weekly</changefreq> </url>
Every entry gets today’s date as lastmod and the same changefreq. If you know when each page really changed, edit the dates before uploading, because search engines only trust lastmod when it is accurate. The tool does not crawl your site, check that the addresses work or remove duplicates, and it does not write a priority tag.
How to use XML Sitemap Generator
Why use this tool
Frequently asked questions
The sitemap protocol limits a single file to 50,000 URLs. The tool warns you if you exceed that so you can split into multiple sitemaps.
lastmod is set to today's date in ISO format. Search engines treat it as a hint for when the page last changed.
List every page you want indexed, one URL per line, paste them into the generator and download sitemap.xml. Upload the file to your site root (example.com/sitemap.xml), add a Sitemap: line to robots.txt, and submit it in Google Search Console under Sitemaps.
Only include canonical pages that return a 200 status and that you want in search results. Leave out redirects, noindex pages, duplicate URLs with tracking parameters, and login or cart pages.
Google ignores changefreq and priority. It does use lastmod when the date is accurate, so update it only when the page content actually changes.
