“seo” — 2 occurrences (33%)
How it works
The text is lowercased and split into words. Density is the number of times a word or phrase occurs divided by the total word count, which includes every word, common ones too.
- Single words: the ten most frequent, leaving out common words such as “the”, “and” and “you”.
- Two-word phrases: the top six that occur more than once.
- Three-word phrases: the top five that occur more than once.
Phrases are formed after the common words are removed, so “king of pop” is counted as “king pop”. Only Latin letters and digits are recognised, which makes the tool suited to English-style text. There is no “correct” density; use the lists to spot a term repeated too often or one you forgot to mention.

Frequently asked questions
There is no magic number. Write naturally; densities above ~3% for a single term can look spammy.
