Frequently asked questions

ROI % = (amount returned − amount invested) ÷ amount invested × 100. A return of $1,500 on a $1,000 investment is a 50% ROI.

Annualized ROI converts total return into an equivalent yearly rate using ((returned ÷ invested)^(1 ÷ years) − 1) × 100, letting you compare investments held for different lengths of time.
