How it works
A number is drawn on every page in grey type, 28 points in from the edge, at the position you pick: top or bottom, and left, centre or right.

“Start at” sets the number on the first page, which is useful when the file is one chapter of a longer document. Every page is numbered, so a cover page cannot be skipped. The number is drawn over whatever is already there; if your pages have a footer in the same spot, pick a different corner.
